Nowo odkryty język Tolkiena: nala lambe ‚barbarzyński’!

Źródło: The Tolkien Library, Lambengolmor

The text in Polish is the translation of the report by Carl F. Hostetter and Patrick H. Wynne, „Fragments of a Grammar of Nala Lambe” – see here. Thanks to the Tolkien Library text by Madeline J. Keyser about the 16 philological books from Tolkien’s libraty we were provided with images of notes in Tolkien’s hand of which two are of particular interest to students of Tolkien’s invented languages. They contain the fragments of the Elvish-type language called „Nala Lambe”.

W połowie grudnia ubiegłego roku Madeline J. Keyser opublikowała na stronach Tolkien Library swój artykuł pt. „Sixteen Philological Books and Notes from the Library of J.R.R. Tolkien” (tutaj), traktujący o zbiorze książek filologicznych, należących do J.R.R.

Gdy zimą w nocy szczypie mróz,
Gdy kamień pęka, skrzypi wóz,
Gdy drzew bezlistnych trzask wśród mgły,
to znak, że w puszczy hula…

snowdropOdmieniamy: tulë, túlë, tulië, utúlië, tuluva. Zima przychodzi, teraz nadciąga, przybyła, ostatecznie przybyła, przybędzie? Ale jest śnieg. I jak powiedziałby Elf: Yé, hrissë! Si niquë, samilmë i lossë an i niquitsi lantar menello…

  • zima – listopad, grudzień, styczeń – 25 grudnia to śródzimie

W 16. numerze Parma Eldalamberon (2006, „J.R.R. Tolkien: Early Elvish Poetry and Pre-Fëanorian Alphabets”) otrzymaliśmy wielką gratkę! Oprócz niezwykle ciekawych tekstów poetyckich i kaligrafii Tolkiena z lat 20. zespół redakcyjny zaprezentował nam wersję wiersza Nieninqe z roku… 1955!

G-i-P Report: Hobbit‚s Quenya, Orkish and Khuzdûl!

We present the Quenya, Khuzdûl and Black Speech dialogs from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey movie as they were presented on the Tolkien.hu forum. Ewangelia św. Mateusza w neoquenya!

Źródło: Elfling

Zgodnie z dobrze już utwierdzoną tradycją bożonarodzeniową lingwistyczny serwis Ardalambion ogłasza swoją Świąteczną Aktualizację. W tym roku Helge Kåre Fauskanger przygotował neoquenejskie tłumaczenie Ewangelii według św. Mateusza.

A my dziękujemy tłumaczowi. Amen.

G-i-P Report: Warsztaty Kaligrafii Elfickiej w Krakowie (5-6 stycznia)

This time in Easteron (Polish), not in Westron (English) because this news concerns a linguistic event in Krakow, Poland.

W królewskim grodzie Krakowie istnieje Szkoła Kaligrafii i Iluminacji Barbary Bodziony.

Będzie to świetna okazja żeby zebrać krakowskich miłośników Śródziemia i wspólnie poćwiczyć elficką kaligrafię!
