Seven in ‘07: Nerdanel and Celebrimbor wanted!

As many probably know by now, SWG has declared the month of July in honor of the House of Fëanor. The response to the initial Seven in ‘07 project was overwhelming, and the results can be found here. However, the House of Fëanor–and its influenced on the Tolkien fan community–goes beyond Fëanor and his seven sons, and we’d be remiss if we ignored Nerdanel and Celebrimbor.

As before, we are seeking short fiction, poems, excerpts of longer fiction and poems, and artwork about Nerdanel and Celebrimbor. Those of you who have sent material about these characters already do not need to send them again (though a gentle reminder to the absentminded webmaster is never a bad thing). Seven in ‘07 seeks to show the diversity of creative works inspired by the House of Fëanor, and we invite all Tolkien fan-writers and -artists to consider sending in work for inclusion in this project.

Currently, we are seeking the following:

* Short fiction under 200 words about Nerdanel and Celebrimbor.
* Short poems under 20 lines about Nerdanel and Celebrimbor.
* Excerpts of longer works (fiction or poems) about Nerdanel and Celebrimbor. The excerpts should not exceed 200 words.
* Visual art (drawings, paintings, et cetera) focusing on Nerdanel and Celebrimbor. The longest side of the artwork should not exceed 700 pixels.
